Best ways get from Logan Airport to the Boston Cruise Port

The Boston Cruise Port is only about 7 miles from Logan Airport.  There are a number of transportation options. Please verify the exact timing with your cruise line information and make sure you give it plenty of time.

1.  The Easiest Option - Take a Taxi

Taxis and Limos | Massport

Taxis are the easiest and quickest option to get to the Boston Cruise Port, costing about $25 and taking about 15-30 minutes.  Taxis are parked very close to the Arrival curbside, so it is easy and quick to hop on.  You can find Taxis by following signage for Ground Transportation and Taxi. Dispatchers are generally present at all terminals to assist you in finding a ride quickly.

2.  The Second-Easiest Option  - Take an Uber or Lyft

At Boston Logan, rideshares can’t be picked up at curbside so you need to go to the Central Parking Garage. Once underway,  it is a short ride to the Boston Cruise Terminal, taking between 15 to 30 minutes and costing about $15 to $20.  To reach your pickup location from your terminal, follow the signs for Central Parking/Ride App Pickups.

How to Book Your Ride at Boston Logan

    1. After collecting your luggage and/or clearing customs, proceed to the designated ground transportation area.

    2. Open the Uber or Lyft app on your mobile device and request a ride, specifying your terminal as the pickup location.

    3. Look for signs or markings indicating Ride App.

    4. Follow the signage to locate the designated pickup area for Uber and Lyft.

    5. Once a driver is assigned, the app will provide you with information about the driver and their estimated arrival time.

    6. Proceed to the designated pickup area and wait for your assigned driver to arrive.

    7. Confirm the driver’s identity and destination before getting into the vehicle.

3.  Funnest Option in Summer   -  Take the Water Taxi

The Watertaxi is not the quickest way to get to the Boston Cruise Port but is for sure the most scenic. For about $20 you can be whisked across Boston harbor in 10 minutes directly to the Cruise Terminal. Another option is to take the water taxi to Rowes wharf in the city ($25) and leave your luggage at the Water Taxi offices until you are ready to take the  hop to the cruise terminal ($25).

To go to the Water Taxi landing from your baggage claim, look for the airport shuttle on the curbside and pick up bus #66.  Once you have boarded the bus, call the water taxi dispatch line (617-406-8584 option 1) to let them know you’re about to arrive at the water taxi dock.

4. Most Economical Option - The Bus

This option can take 1.5 hours and will cost $2.75. From your Arrival curbside follow the signs for Silver Line SL1 and pick up the MBTA Silver Line SL1 bus that stops in front of every terminal about every 10-15 minutes. The bus is free of charge.

Once the bus leaves the airport area, look for the next station right before the tunnel called "Silver Line Way." Leave the bus and go to the other side of the road and take the next SL2 bus in the opposite direction you arrived there.  Make sure you have cash for the fare of 2.75.

The bus will stop just one block (0.2 mile) from the Boston Cruise Terminal on 29 Drydock Ave.
